Application Process

PreDiploma Program, Recommended Criteria:

• Standard 1: Prerequisite course work:
  • completed at least Algebra I with a B or better
  • completed at least French I, German I, or Spanish I with a B or better
  • completed Integrated Language Arts Above Grade Level with a B or better
• Standard 2: GPA 3.0 or higher
• Standard 3: Three Teacher Recommendations (core subjects)
• Standard 4: Personal Interview
• Standard 5: Admissions Agreement signed by student and parent/guardian

IB Program, Recommended Criteria:

• Standard 1: Prerequisite course work:
  • Grade 9
    • 9 PreDip/Honors English
    • PreDip Geometry or Algebra II Trig
    • Language I or II (French, German, or Spanish)
    • PreDip/Honors World History/Geography
    • PreDip Biology
    • Health/Physical Education
    • Fine/Practical Arts Elective
  • Grade 10
    • 10 PreDip/Honors English
    • Algebra II/Trig or Analysis
    • Language II or III (French, German, or Spanish)
    • Government
    • PreDip/Honors Chemistry
    • Health/ Physical Education
• Standard 2: GPA 3.20 or higher
• Standard 3: Three Teacher Recommendations (core subjects)
• Standard 4: Personal Interview
• Standard 5: Admissions Agreement signed by student and parent/guardian

Application Instructions

Students presently in grade 8 or making application for the first time:

1. Complete the application and email it to [email protected] no later than December 11, 2023. You will receive a confirmation once it is received.

2. There must be three teacher recommendations from current teachers. You will need to make five copies of the recommendation form and give it to your core teachers to complete. You also have the option of sending the form to the teachers as an attachment and they can complete it and send it to [email protected] as an attachment.

3. You may choose to print the application and submit the completed hard copy. Your school counselor may be able to help you to send it to me via intra-office mail (pony).

4. The application may be mailed, faxed, emailed, or hand-carried to the IB Office at Warwick High School on or before the deadline.
